Do you think the project details for the backpack project may be soon? Our church would like to have a Christmas in July.

        Thanks.

        • Glynda, information for backpacks is now available on this website. Thank you for asking and supporting this great project!

  2. Thank you so much for this ministry. We currently serve as tri=vocational Pastor at Hillcrest Baptist Church in LaFollette, TN, in the heart of Appalachia. Our church primarily serves children from very needy families and unstable home situations. With an average Sunday morning attendance of 45, half of those are children, 8th grade and under. Last year, someone made a gift for Children’s ministry at Hillcrest and we bought supplies, spreading the gift among 10 children. How can our children be considered for this ministry, please?

    • Thank you for serving the families and children in your area.

Bill Barker, National Director of Appalachian Regional Ministry/Mississippi River Ministry is who you would contact to find out about being considered for this program. You can reach him at bbarker@namb.net.

If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

  3. I would like information on hosting a backpack site as a church – our church collecting backpacks and taking a group to a site to hand out backpacks and minister to people in that community.

My name is Sherry Matherly and I am the Director of Children’s Ministry at Kiokee Baptist in Appling, Ga.
