Day 7: GENEROUS through Support
A Self-Examination: You
Mirrors are both revealing and evidence of reality. They reveal the image which they reflect and show us what others see of us. We can see beauty in a mirror or flaws, which become magnified the closer we look.
God sees all. He needs no mirror to examine our hearts and lives. He is omniscient, knowing everything about us before we discover our need. If we examined ourselves more often, He would reveal to us the areas of life which need renewal.
A reflection is always revealing and should cause us to ask questions such as: What can I do to make a difference? Where will God take me to share life and love with others? Will I be obedient to His call? Have I grown spiritually in this last year? Have I given myself to Him before I give my substance to others?
It’s not really about what others are doing; it’s about YOU and me. Our prayers must focus first on our hearts and lives if we really want to see generosity in action. That is why we must ask ourselves the tough questions in hopes that we will look inside ourselves and follow God’s direction in Generosity: Giving – Going – and Growing.
As you support the Mission Georgia Offering by praying, giving, and preparing to go for God, you are fulfilling the personal mission which Jesus has equipped every believer to accomplish. Don’t hold back, don’t give in to business-as-usual, and don’t withhold the support others need to multiply the Gospel message across Georgia. Do become a generous giver of life, love, and financial support to reach the 7.1 million Georgians who do not know Jesus as their personal Savior.
• Ask God to show YOU what He wants you to share of yourself and your substance.
• Thank God that He will give you the courage and resources to be generous in every way.
