You have probably heard about the foster care crisis in Georgia. You may not have heard about the churches and nonprofit ministries in Georgia that are working to address the crisis and bring comfort to kids that are caught in it. That’s where Mission Georgia’s Foster Care Support 101 events come in to help!

FosterCare101

Foster Care Support 101 is part of an initiative of Mission Georgia to connect churches and individuals with opportunities to transform the foster care experience in our state.

The need is real. And so are the ways you can help.

Prepare and drop off a meal for a foster family.

Host a play date for foster kids at your church.

Become a respite care volunteer to serve caregivers.

Invite foster families to kid friendly events at your church.

Learn about the process to become a foster parent.

Create a foster family support group at your church.

If you would like to learn more, Foster Care Support 101 events will will take place throughout 2021 at churches that are already serving in foster care. Each training will be led by church staff, volunteers and foster care partners who work together to make a difference in their community.
